Introduction¶
What does it do?¶
This extension will provide a counting-code for LeadLab-Webanalysis (powered by WiredMinds AG). The code will be placed in front of the </body> tag to each page rendered by Typo3.
The User has full control both of general and individual settings - without the need of writing one single line of TypoScript, due to the self-explaining configuration tasks.
However, for a full qualified overview of LeadLabs' features, it is strongly recommended to read
- the Documentation (
https://wmapp.wiredminds.de/app/public/files/docs /WiredMinds\_Documentation\_v595\_english.pdf <https://wmapp.wiredmind s.de/app/public/files/docs/WiredMinds_Documentation_v595_english.pdf>
_ ) - LeadLab-FAQ-List ( https://wmapp.wiredminds.de/app/public/files/faq.html )
- the rich Info-Items within the Admin-Panel.
In this Documentation, we will only have room for the Typo3-related topics. Apart from that, you will have a valid LeadLab-countingcode in the end of the show, promised.

Installation ^^^^^^^^^^^^
Just install the Extension and follow the single steps.
During the Install-Process, you may set the General Settings. (see picture on the right)
Users manual¶
The extension helps configure the appropriate Code for the counting pixel.
The Configuration is divided in two parts:
- General Configuration
- Individual Page-Configuration
General Configuration¶
The General Configuration is done during the Installation as shown above or via the Configuration-Tab in the Extention itself:
Here, you can adjust eleven different settings:
1. Customer Number¶
Fill in your personal WiredMinds-Customer Number.
2. Name of the WiredMinds-Count-Server¶
Define the appropriate Count-Server for your system. You can choose between “wm.wiredminds.de” if you are already a customer or “test.wiredminds.de” if you are using a test-account.
However, if you like to use your own Count-Server, you can specify it in the Field below (3. CountServer (customized))
3. CountServer (customized)¶
If you have a special CountServer with WiredMinds (or outside), you can enter its domain here. The entered value will OVERWRITE the settings done above (2. Name ofe the WiredMinds-Count-Server)
4. Force Protocol¶
If you want to enforce a protocol, you can do it here (useful if system is running under IIS). Generally, the default-entry “auto” should work fine.
5. Code-Scheme¶
Select what type of JavaScript-Encoding fits best to your needs. You can choose between XHTML Strict, HTML 4.0, XHTML Strict (asynchronous) and HTML 4.0 (asynchronous).
6. Campaign Key¶
With LeadLab by WiredMinds you can measure the effectiveness of your online advertising campaigns. If you do not need this, just empty this field. To see for example which banner ad your visitor clicked on to reach your site, please add a parameter to the link from the banner to your site. The parameter should look like this:
?wcid=MY_CAMPAIGN
Replace "MY_CAMPAIGN" by a word that helps you to identify your ad campaign. You can identify different campaigns by choosing as many different values as you like.)
If you are already tracking your campaigns with a different parameter in the URL, you can use this parameter instead of "wcid" .
7. Heatmap¶
Recommendation: Enjoy this gorgeous feature and leave the Checkbox ticked! If you do not like colors, well, you can disable heatmapping here.
8. Heatmap Width¶
IMPORTANT: If the website's layout is centered, please enter the width of the content area (in pixels) as shown in the following example. Makes only sense with heatmapping active.
Example:If the website's content width is 800 pixels:
9. Parameter-Handling 'wm_page_name' """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Use Tree-Structure after upgrading from Extension 'webanalytics (v. 0.4.x)'. Use default setting 'URL' when the count-Server should handle the settings.
10. Retention Time¶
Retention Time of the last visited page.
11. Custom JavaScript Area¶
Feel free to add your own Code-Snippets (no linebreaks!)
Individual Page-Configuration¶
The Individual Page-Configuration is done in an extra Tab within the page-properties:
Here, you can adjust four different settings:
1. Disable counting pixel on this page¶
Self-Explaining.
2. Milestone (Enter a unique Name)¶
With LeadLab by WiredMinds you can set your own milestones at important places of your website and generate special analysis (e.g. a funnel-analysis) with it.To do this, you have to enter an unique Milestone-Name in this field.
3. Individual Name for this Page¶
Very optional, but useful in some cases: The LeadLab by WiredMinds counting code automatically infers the name and group of a web page from the URL. However, if you wish, you can instead set own names for each page. (This corresponds to the behaviour of earlier versions of the counting code.) Attention: The Page-Name-Syntax MUST be like this:“start|registry|contactdata|register.php” (single Information divided by Pipe-Symbol)
4. Individual Name for this Group¶
Very optional, but useful in some cases: The LeadLab by WiredMinds counting code automatically infers the name and group of a web page from the URL. However, if you wish, you can instead set own names for each page. (This corresponds to the behaviour of earlier versions of the counting code.) Attention: The Group-Name-Syntax MUST be like this:“start/registry/contactdata” (single Information divided by Slash-Symbol)
You can also just set one of the two parameters and leave the other at the automatic value. If you set own page or group names, we recommend that you use short and informative terms. They should contain information about the page/area in which you are currently located (for example, login or index.html). Several other information like country and language can also be added, if required. The name may not contain empty spaces and the information must be separated by '|' for Page Name and '/' for Group Name.
Administration¶
Not much to do – install it, set your configuration and enjoy.
Known problems¶
None so far.

Bugfixes:
- Heatmapping -Parameters are included in the “own parameters”-Section now.
- You can set a complete Count-Server-Domain now, not just a subdomain. Important : You must update your configuration as shown under “General Configuration →CountServer 6”
- Campaign-Default-Key was set to “wcid” (because of a Google-Conflict)
- “Force Protocol” instead of “Choose Protokol”: Meanwhile, leadlab recognizes on its own, whats running on your Server. Therefore, the new default is “auto”. However, it can be useful to force the protocol when you need to do so (in case autodetect doesnt work e.g. with IIS).
- NoScript-Part reorganized
- Did some Code-beautification
