# Reactions {#reactions-overview}

> [!TIP]
> **Hint**
>
> Registered reaction types are listed in **System -> Configuration**.

**[Create database record](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/typo3/cms-reactions:create-database-record@13.4)**

A basic reaction shipped with the system extension can be used
to create records triggered and enriched by data from the
caller.

**[Custom reaction type](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/typo3/cms-reactions:custom-reaction-type@13.4)**

A custom reaction type may be useful, if the "Create database
record" type is not sufficient.
