# TYPO3 Exception 1303237468

## TYPO3 12.4.5 - 16.08.23

> Given select field item list was not found.

### The Issue

This error happens when calling `\TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility::addTcaSelectItem()`
on an item that is not a valid select item or does not have an items array.

### Solution

My select item did not have an `items` array, adding an empty items array fixed it:

**EXT:my_sitepackage/Configuration/TCA/tx_my_sitepackage_table.php**

```php
'type' => [
    'label' => 'Typ',
    'config' => [
        'type' => 'select',
        'renderType' => 'selectSingle',
        'items' => [],
    ],
],
```
