If parseFunc somewhere is configured with :typoscript:`.constants = 1`, then all occurrences of the constant in the text will be substituted with the actual value. This is useful, if you need one and the same value at many places in your website. With constants, you can maintain it easily. .. note:: The constants defined here are **not** the ones, which can be defined in the constants section of your template and which then in the setup section can be used as :typoscript:`{$myconstant}`.
