.. include:: /Includes.rst.txt .. _pages-creating: ============== Creating Pages ============== .. youtube:: UzHc1Z3vT6E ------------ There are two ways to add a page to a site using the page tree. You can either drag and drop from icons above the page tree or you can use the context menu by right-clicking on an existing page inside the page tree. To start adding pages: * Select the :guilabel:`Content > Layout` module in the backend. * Expand the page tree so that all of its subpages are visible (optional). .. _pages-creating-tree: Adding pages using drag and drop ================================ Along the top of the page tree is a :guilabel:`+ Page` button on the upper left next to a row of icons. The row of icons represent different page types. Create a new page either by clicking on the :guilabel:`+ Page` button or by dragging and dropping from the relevant icon into the page tree below. In both cases a pop up modal will appear. .. figure:: /Images/ManualScreenshots/PageTree/PageCreateDragDrop.png :alt: Creating a page using drag and drop :zoom: gallery Creating a page using drag and drop #. If you clicked on the :guilabel:`+ Page` button, select the parent page in the pop up modal. Select/drop on to the root page if you want to create a page at the top level. You can always move the page around later by dragging and dropping. #.
