# Environment (System) {#system-environment}

This module has been moved from Admin tools to
System.

Only available if [`typo3/cms-install`](https://packagist.org/packages/typo3/cms-install) is installed.

The backend module **System > Environment** offers tools
to system maintainers regarding the server environment like PHP and database
versions, directory status, mail setup and image processing.
