# Installation {#installation}

## Requirements {#requirements}

-   TYPO3 12.4 LTS, 13.4 LTS or 14
    ([`typo3/cms-core`](https://packagist.org/packages/typo3/cms-core), [`typo3/cms-backend`](https://packagist.org/packages/typo3/cms-backend),
    [`typo3/cms-extbase`](https://packagist.org/packages/typo3/cms-extbase), [`typo3/cms-fluid`](https://packagist.org/packages/typo3/cms-fluid))
-   PHP with the `fileinfo` extension (content-vs-extension detection)
-   ImageMagick or GraphicsMagick configured in
    `$GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['GFX']` (standard TYPO3 image processing
    setup) for MIME fix conversion, image resizing and report thumbnails
-   PHP `imagick` extension, **optional**: only needed to fix misnamed
    Photoshop (`.psd`) files, since GraphicsMagick has no PSD decoder
-   [`typo3/cms-dashboard`](https://packagist.org/packages/typo3/cms-dashboard), **optional**: only needed for the
    dashboard widgets (they are not registered without it)

## Installation with Composer {#installation-composer}

```bash
composer require anubit/filefix
vendor/bin/typo3 extension:setup -e filefix
vendor/bin/typo3 cache:flush
```

`extension:setup` creates the database tables of the extension
(`tx_filefix_quarantine`, `tx_filefix_log`).

## Installation without Composer {#installation-classic}

Install the extension with the **Extension Manager** from the
TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER) and update the database schema in
**Admin Tools > Maintenance > Analyze Database Structure**.
