# Installation {#installation}

1.  Install this extension

    -   Composer mode: `composer require derhansen/sf_event_mgt`
    -   Classic mode: Install the extension with the extension manager
1.  Configuration

    -   Include the static TypoScript configuration **Event management and registration (sf_event_mgt)** in your TypoScript template
    -   Configure extension TypoScript settings depending on your needs.
1.  Create initial content

    -   Create a new sysfolder in your page tree, where you create events and categories.
    -   Add the plugin [List view, Detail view, Registration view, Calendar view, Search view](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/derhansen/sf_event_mgt:eventplugin-settings@9.0) to the newly created pages and configure the plugin settings.
    -   Optionally add the plugin [Frontend user registrations](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/derhansen/sf_event_mgt:userregistrationplugin-settings@9.0) to a page, to show registered frontend users their event registrations

> [!IMPORTANT]
> 1.  If you use **registrations for events**, you must follow the instructions regarding the [CLI Commands](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/derhansen/sf_event_mgt:cronjob@9.0)
> 1.  For the **calendar view**, make sure to uncheck the **Disable overwrite demand** setting in the plugin
