# Configuration {#configuration}

## Placeholders {#placeholders}

Some configuration values (e.g., screenshot captions) use template strings.
These may contain placeholders that substitute timecode or metadata information.

| Placeholder | Replaced by |
| --- | --- |
| `{<metadata>}` (replace `<metadata>` by the index name of a configured metadata entry) | Metadatum in current document |
| `{url}` | Current video URL with timecode information |
| `{host}` | Current protocol and hostname (e.g., `https://sachsen.digital`) |
| `{h}` | Hours elapsed in video |
| `{m}` | Total minutes elapsed in video |
| `{hh}`, `{mm}`, `{ss}`, `{ff}` | Hours, minutes, seconds, frames elapsed (two-digit, leading zero) |
| `{00}`, `{000}` | Fractional part of seconds elapsed (two or three digit, leading zeros) |
