# Installation {#quick-installation}

Install the extension with Composer:

**Install the extension**

```bash
composer require mediaessenz/fullcalendar
```

Events of EXT:calendarize are optional. To use them, install it as well:

**Install EXT:calendarize (optional)**

```bash
composer require lochmueller/calendarize
```

Then include the extension into your site, with one of these two ways.

## Site sets way (recommended) {#quick-site-set}

Add the Site Set **Fullcalendar** (`mediaessenz/fullcalendar`) to the
dependencies of your site, either in the backend module
**Sites > Setup** or directly in your `config/sites/<identifier>/config.yaml`:

**config/sites/main/config.yaml**

```yaml
dependencies:
  - mediaessenz/fullcalendar
```

If you use a site package with its own Site Set, add the dependency to the
`config.yaml` of your set instead.

The set provides the TypoScript of the plugin, the page type for the calendarize feed
and the [settings](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/mediaessenz/fullcalendar:site-settings@main) of the calendar, which can be changed in
the site settings editor.

## Classic way {#quick-static-template}

Open your TypoScript template record, switch to **Includes** and add the
static template **Fullcalendar (fullcalendar)**. The default values can be
changed with the [TypoScript constants](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/mediaessenz/fullcalendar:typoscript-constants@main).
