**There is no need** to create an xBlog TCA for your table, **but you have more features and comfort.**

For example:

* The xBlog has a so-called :ref:`user-friendly mode<administrators_extmanager>`. In this mode, 
  the plugin only provides tables in Flexforms that are registered in the TCA. 
  This creates clarity for your backend users.

* You can use the xBlog Mini Calendar plugin.
