# Conversations {#ask-ai-agent-conversations}

Conversations are stored per backend user. Other users cannot see them.

-   Click **New conversation** in the header to start fresh. The
    previous conversation remains in the list.
-   Open the conversation list to switch, rename, or delete conversations.
    Filter by **This page** or **All pages**.
-   The AI provider is fixed after the first answer. To use another provider,
    start a new conversation.
-   Conversations without activity are deleted after the retention period
    (default: 90 days).

Administrators can change the retention period, the conversation limits, and
which conversation opens automatically. See
