```
Then activate the extension and clear the cache:
See also [Installing extensions](https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/tutorial-getting-started/14.3/en-us/Extensions/InstallingExtensions.html#installing-extensions) in the
TYPO3 Getting Started documentation.
## Installation in Classic Mode {#installation-classic}
1.  Download the extension from the
    [TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER)](https://extensions.typo3.org/extension/rt_llms_txt)
    or download `rt_llms_txt_<version>.zip` from the assets of a
    [GitHub release](https://github.com/rtfirst/llms-txt/releases).
1.  Install the extension via the Extension Manager in the TYPO3 Backend.
1.  Clear all caches.
> [!NOTE]
> The extension requires the Composer package
> [league/html-to-markdown](https://github.com/thephpleague/html-to-markdown)
> (MIT license). In classic mode no Composer packages are installed, so the
> TER package and the zip file of the GitHub release ship it in
> `Resources/Private/Php/ComposerVendor/`, including its license file.
>
> The "Source code" archives of a GitHub release and a plain Git checkout do
> not contain this package and do not work in classic mode.
## Activate the Site Set {#installation-site-set}
After installation, you need to add the Site Set to your site configuration:
1.  Go to **Site Management > Sites** in the TYPO3 Backend.
1.  Edit your site configuration.
1.  Go to the **Sets** tab.
1.  Add the set **LLMs.txt Generator** (`rtfirst/llms-txt`).
1.  Save and clear all caches.
## Verify Installation {#installation-verify}
After installation, verify that everything works:
1.  Access `https://your-site.com/llms.txt` \- You should see the generated
    llms.txt content.
1.  Access any page with `.md` suffix, e.g., `https://your-site.com/about.md`
    \- You should see Markdown content with YAML frontmatter.
1.  Check the page properties of any page - You should see a new **LLM** tab.
> [!TIP]
> If you get a 404 error, make sure you've added the Site Set and cleared
> all caches.
