# Installation {#installation}

## Requirements {#installation-requirements}

-   TYPO3 CMS **13.4** or **14.x**
-   [`wegewerk/ai3_core`](https://packagist.org/packages/wegewerk/ai3_core) (installed automatically as a dependency)
-   [`typo3/cms-fluid-styled-content`](https://packagist.org/packages/typo3/cms-fluid-styled-content) **13.4** or **14.x**
-   [`bk2k/bootstrap-package`](https://packagist.org/packages/bk2k/bootstrap-package) (for accordion functionality)
-   [`brotkrueml/schema`](https://packagist.org/packages/brotkrueml/schema) **4.x** (for schema.org markup)
-   A valid **ZAK-AI API key** (see [Configuration](https://docs.typo3.org/permalink/wegewerk/ai3_faq:configuration@0.9))

## Installation via Composer {#installation-composer}

Ai3 FAQ is installed exclusively via Composer. Run the following command
in your TYPO3 project root:

**Install the extension**

```bash
composer require wegewerk/ai3_faq
```

This will automatically install all required dependencies, including
[`wegewerk/ai3_core`](https://packagist.org/packages/wegewerk/ai3_core), [`bk2k/bootstrap-package`](https://packagist.org/packages/bk2k/bootstrap-package),
and [`brotkrueml/schema`](https://packagist.org/packages/brotkrueml/schema).

## Activate the extension {#installation-activate}

After installation, activate the extension using the TYPO3 CLI:

**Activate via CLI**

```bash
vendor/bin/typo3 extension:activate ai3_faq
```

> [!TIP]
> The extension will automatically register the new **Page FAQ** content
> element type and make it available in the "AI3" group when creating
> new content elements.

## Verify installation {#installation-verification}

To verify the installation was successful:

1.  Log in to the TYPO3 backend
1.  Navigate to any page
1.  Create a new content element
1.  Look for the **Page FAQ** element in the "AI3" group
1.  The element should be available with an AI3 FAQ icon
