   Solution
   --------

   Extension key in `ext_emconf.php` was defined as string constant instead of `$_EXTKEY`. See [documentation](https://docs.typo3.org/m/typo3/reference-coreapi/main/en-us/ExtensionArchitecture/DeclarationFile/Index.html) for `ext_emconf.php`.
