What does it do?¶

This extension allows you to style the Backend login who you like it so it looks like you or your customer wants it! You just need to adopt one single css file. The extension also handles different styles for different urls and random stylesheets

Users manual¶

To be able to style your own Backend login you need to follow these steps:

Install the extension

Specifiy the stylesheet file you want to use in the settings of the extension inside the extension manager.

Delete the typo3conf-Cache!

Configuration¶

The following options are available in the settings inside the extension manager.

Stylesheets¶

Enter here the stylesheet you want to use to style your backend login. Syntax would be

fileadmin/loginskin.css or
typo3conf/ex/chloginskin/login1.css

Random mode¶

To use this feature you need to enable the checkbox “Random mode” in the extension manager's settings and add at least 2 stylesheets in the following syntax:

fileadmin/styles1.css, fileadmin/styles2.css, fileadmin/styles3.css

Multi-Domain¶

The extension can check for different URLs and can include a different stylesheet for every URL. Be aware that “Random mode” & “Multi-Domain” don't work together!.

You need the following syntax for that:

http://www.domain1.com=fileadmin/styles1.css, http://www.domain2.at=fileadmin/styles2.css

Change BE-Logo¶

Since the version 1.1.0 it is possible to set a different TYPO3 Backend logo which is displayed in the upper left corner after you are logged in. Add the path to your logo or to one of your customer to change it.

Different template¶

Enable this feature to set a different template. The default template is with used extension t3ski typo3/sysext/t3skin/templates/login.html or the default skin under typo3/templates/login.html

How to create your own login styling¶

There are already 4 demo stylesheets inside the folder of chloginskin/res/ called login1.css, login2.css, login3.css, login4.css.If you are using TYPO3 4.2.x or below, use the files inside the directory res/_4-2/!.

If you want your own one, take one of them and modify the things you want to be different. The files are all commented and should be pretty easy to follow.
