Installation 

Requirements 

• TYPO3 13.4 LTS or 14.3 LTS
• The system extension typo3/cms-redirects
• PHP 8.2 or newer

Install with Composer 

composer require fuf/relaunch-redirects

Then set up the extension, which creates its database table:

vendor/bin/typo3 extension:setup --extension=fuf_relaunch_redirects

Install in classic mode 

Download the extension from the TYPO3 Extension Repository or install it in the Extension Manager, then activate it. The database table is created on activation.

Where to install it 

Install it on the system that holds the new website, usually the staging system during the relaunch. The check needs the pages, the site configuration and the redirects of the new site, nothing else. It does not need to be reachable from the internet.

Keep it on the production system after the go-live if you want to run the check again later, for example with relaunch-redirects:check in a deployment pipeline.

Permissions for editors 

Administrators can use the module right away. For editors:

1. Give the backend user group access to the module Relaunch Redirects (in TYPO3 13 below Site Management, in TYPO3 14 below Sites > Link Management).
2. To create redirects, the group needs permission to modify the table Redirect ( sys_redirect ). Without it the list is shown, but no redirects can be created.
3. The module shows the sites whose root page is inside the database mounts of the editor.
