Solution¶

The template contained the following:

Template.html before¶

<f:format.html parseFuncTSPath="">
    <f:translate extensionName="..." key="emailToSender.thankYou" arguments="{0: type}"/>
</f:format.html>

Replace with

Template.html before¶

<f:format.html>
    <f:translate extensionName="..." key="emailToSender.thankYou" arguments="{0: type}"/>
</f:format.html>

This way null is used instead of an empty string and the default can be applied.
