Introduction¶
What does it do?¶
- This extensions helps editors for certain language versions of a website to read the page tree. The extension greyes out pages in the web tree if there is no translation for the chosen language. Additionally it shows page titles in the chosen language.
- Furthermore it shows 404 information in the frontend if the user switches to a language the page is not translated to.

The extension works the moment it is installed. It depends on Alternative page language records in the root node of the web tree. It is important to know that the UIDs of the backend record need to match the language id value of the frontend language.
The editor chooses the language he wants to edit and the web tree refreshes immediately.
Adminstration¶
In the Extension Manager overview of the extension the administrator needs to set the root page uid and the language parameter of the frontend to configure the extension. That's about it besides the language settings needed anyways (e.g. TypoScript).
