Introduction¶
What does it do?¶
- This extension overwrites the Typo3 mechanism to stores / reference pictures within the area "file list".
- Normally Typo3 stores uploaded pictures in its own folder named space "/fileadmin/user_upload". With these Extension does not administer Typo3 the pictures in the folder user_upload. The pictures are left at the place, at which the user had uploaded it and from that place the pictures are referenced into the Typo3 system.
- Advantage: You can modify pictures afterwards by overwriting it by ftp without the must to reference it new in backend.
- Attention: The Extension should find only use in a new Typo3 installation. With the installation of the Extension, all available picture correlations are likewise modified. Standard referenced pictures are not any longer displayed!!!
