Activate Overlay Icons for Tree

After the installation, you can activate helping overlay icons for the page tree in your "user settings": - Choose the "user"/"user settings module" above the log-out button. - At tab "Edit and Advanced functions" activate the check-box "Show Editorial Overlay Icons in Page Tree" and save. - Click on the Editorial Module to reload page-tree.

Editorial Module

If the extension is installed correctly, you can see the editorial module in the web section on the left side. Select it, to see an overview of the pages that are accessible for your user. In this first overview you can select one of the given lists for each root-page and tree of your typo3 installation.

  • Finalized Pages - see a list with all pages that are marked as "finished".
  • Open Pages - see a list of pages that are not marked as "finished".
  • All Pages - all pages listed.

If you click one of these options you will see another list. There you see each page of this category with uid, title of the page und the editorial comment that you can edit in the page properties.

For each page you have following buttons:

  • edit page properties - allows directly to edit the page properties (Edit Page)
  • edit content of page - jumps to the page view of the page and let you edit the content (Web Modul/Page)
  • listview of the page - listview - jumps direct to the listview of the given page, in case you need to adjust records (Web Modul/List)

Page Properties

If you edit a page you will see a new tab in the page properties: "Editorial Options". There are two new properties for each page:

  • Editor comment - there you can leave a message for another day or a other editor - which can be seen at the listviews we mentioned above.
  • Final Flag (Activate if content of this page is final!) - marks page final.
