Introduction

This is NOT a statistic module or similar. This extension only loads an external HTML source in the "content" frame of the Typo3 backend via a HTTP GET call. Here we load the current users statistic- interface. Created/tested for Livestat. With small modifications this extension could include any external html-source which requires login via. a HTTP GET operation including basic authentication.

Users manual

There is no special end-user functionality – while this module does nothing but loading an external html source in the “content” frame og the Typo3 user interface. Therefore endusers should refer to the manual of destination.

Adminstration

Then you include the module it will be placed inside the “User” module. Therefore it is required that the User module is activated for the user(s) who shall have access to this sub-module.

After activating the module you will find a new area in the user- configuration of each BE-user created.

Here you shold specify:

Server ID: Which is the Livestat server ID

Server Username: The livestat username

Server Password: well...

Stat server URL: The url of the stat server. The adresse the user normally would put into the adresse field of the browser. Eg. http://stat.mydomain.com

These fields is excluded by default. If non admin users shold edit these values you shold enable for this user or group.

NOTE: Usernames and passwords to the LiveStat-server is saved in the Typo3 database in plain text.

Configuration

The only TS-configuration available is the path to the login page of the Imail server. This is a “Per User” TS-option. The default value is:livestatframe.loginpath = /ss?setsite=

Then the mudule is activated a normal HTTP GET request is performed like this:

[method][username]:[password]@[url][loginpath][serverid]
http:// mylogin : mypasswd @ stat.mydomain.com /ss?setsite= myserverid

[method] and [url] is etraxted from the Server ID like this:If Server ID starts with “http://” or “https://” this becomes [method]the rest of the string is [url] exept any trailing “/” which is striped.

If the string does not start with af known method – [method] is set to “http://” - and the whole string is put in to [url] (exept any trailing “/” which is striped.)
