Introduction

What does it do?

This extension is used to display events in a specified area with the help of Google map. The extension allows to enter the events from the back-end and front end. Also detailed view of each event is possible using this extension. The events can be categorized into regions based on there geographical location. The plug-in provides option to filter events based on region in the map.

Here you see what the extension does:

1)Showing All the Events in the region.

4)On clicking any marker in the map,User will get the details regarding the event on the specified location.

Users manual

Installation

Install the plug-gin as usual from the back-end.

Additional option will be available for the pug-gin to setup in the page.

These options are demonstrated in the screen-shot.

Administration

All configuration related to the plug-gin is specified in the installation section and also in the screen-shot.

Configuration

After the installation of the plug-gin. Admin can configure the plug- gin in the page.

For working of the plug-gin administrator must provide

1)Google Map API key(default value can be used from the example provided).

Eg:AIzaSyCwuPR0c1OYyDv6UzyxcSOzJIU-782VQ6Y

2)Default Latitude and longitude for the map for the initial load (comma separated).

Eg:16.720,77.102

3)Map window width and height(only integer value needed)

Eg:500

Admin stator can select the theme for the map.

Available options are:

1)Compact View

  1. Handy compact look for the simple preview of the events
  2. User cannot be able to add event from here.
  3. No Google map Available

2)Marker View

  1. Google Map with the markers available in the view
  2. User cannot be able to add event from here.

3)Full Edit View

  1. Google Map with the markers available in the view
  2. User can be able to add event from here.
  3. User can get the detailed view of the map

Administrator can add/edit the event details from the list view of the page.
