SWFTOOLS for Windows¶

What does SWFTOOLS for Windows do?¶

• SWFTOOLS for Windows delivers the source code for the installation of SWFTTOOLS on a Windows server.If you are using a Linux server, please refer to SWFTOOLS for Linux (swftools4linux).
• The manual explains step by step, how to install SWFTOOLS on a Windows server.
• It describes too, how to uninstall SWFTOOLS.

Why SWFTOOLS?¶

• SWFTOOLS can convert JPEG, PDF, PNG and WAV files to SWF / Flash files.
• You need SWFTOOLS, if you are using the extension Flip it! and if you want, that Flip it! converts PDF filesto SWF / Flash files automatically.

What do you need?¶

• You must be root, if you want to install SWFTOOLS on your server.
• You don't need special know how about Windows.

Download the installer¶

• Install this extension
• Download swfttools-0.9.1.exe from your domain:

http://your- domain.com/typo3conf/ext/swftools4windows/lib/swftools-0.9.1.exe

Run the installer¶

• Run swftools-0.9.1.exe. You must be the Windows administrator!
• Keep the install path in mind. I.e:C:Program Files (x86)SWFTools
• If you are using the extension Flip it!, you will need the path while configuring the extension manager.

uninstall.exe¶

• Go to the folder with the SWFTOOLS. Maybe it is:C:Program Files (x86)SWFTools
• Run uninstall.exe

Remove the installer¶

Remove swftools-0.9.1.exe

Remove this extension¶

Disable and delete this extension with the extension manager.

Console¶

Please refer to the manual of SWFTOOLS for Linux (swftools4linux).

Where are my SWFTOOLS?¶

If you don't know, where the SWFTOOLS are installed, you can search for it with this command:
