Introduction¶
What does it do?¶
Why another faq-extension? Because the others doesn't fit to the requierements I needed. :)This faq-extension supports categories and it can be inserted into one page as often as you like, without loosing its functionality. It uses jQuery as Javascript framework and you can switch it on or of – depending on you already have a jQuery library inserted or not. You can even configure the bullet points if you like, so it should come in handy.

Configuration¶
Install the extension as usual.
Create a system folder, where faqs should be stored.
Create a system folder, where categories should be stored (repeat this step if you want to have two faqs on one page)
Create a content element of type "Plugin" and choose "FAQ"
Fill in the requested values in the plugin tab:a) First Checkbox should be checked, if you use another jQuery extension already (like jQuery oder t3jquery) and this one is set global. You minimize your load, by using only one library at once.b) If you want to use a special jQuery library (like an older version), you can type the path in here. Could be useful, if you have other stuff running with older jQuery library on this side.c) This Checkbox should be checked, if you want to use the categories. Uncheck it, to have a simple faq on your page, without those gadget.d) Choose the page, where your categories are stored. Must be filled out, if you checked c).e) Choose a different image as not active bullet point if you like. Pic should be 11 x 15px.f) Choose a different image as active bullet point if you like. Pic should be 11 x 15px.g) Check this box, if you want only one answer to be seen at a time. Others will slide up than.h) Choose the page, where the faqs are stored. If empty, faqs from current page will be taken.
Users Manual¶
To create faqs just follow these instructions:
Create a system folder for faqs (see configuration → 2)
Add a new faq in the system folder (choose faq) in list-mode .
Fill in the needful information and click save.
To create categories just follow these instructions:
Create a system folder for categories (see configuration → 3).
Add a new category, choose category.
Fill in the needful information and click save.
If you want to use the plugin more than once on one page, your welcome. Just create another system folder for new categories. After that, insert a plugin and refer to this new page as category store.
