Well, ok the translation of the header did not really worked, but it's not a problem of the extension, it's because Google didn't knew the word.

Users manual

It's so easy. Just click on “Create a copy for translation (language xy)”. If the combination of your default language and your target language is listed above, Google will translate every localizable field of your content element for you. This works for any kind of content-element (e.g. tt_news).

Configuration

Nothing to configure - ... yet.

Quality of service

For a service i'ts nice to know under which conditions it will be preferred to another extension. Sadly, depending on the service architecture, we cannot rate every single translation-pair (language to languge) but just the whole extension.

Since there are no other extensions now, I cannot compare and will start with a weighting of:

'priority' => 50'quality' => 50

This might later be adjusted...

Known problems

  • It might happen, that google changes it's UI. Well, then this extension wont work anymore because it cannot recognize the inputfields. If this happens to you, please try to get an update for this extension, I'll fix it as soon as I can.
  • Problems with specialchars (stuff like quotes and umlauts). This will hopefully be fixed soon ... :) hey this is an alpha version.
  • There are some cache-files not cleaned up correctly after a translation. Nothing dangerous, but just unnessesary.

To-Do list

- Fix the “Known problems”

- Nothing further. You got a nice idea? Contact me!
