Fine-tune editing, uploads and copying in the backend 

These settings change how the backend behaves while you work.

  • Maximum length of displayed labels / record titles: How many characters of a title are shown in lists before it is shortened. Between 10 and 255, 50 by default.
  • Allow to directly upload files when editing or creating records: Shows a drop zone and an upload button in file fields when you edit a record.
  • Use quick editing for records in the Layout module: Opens content elements in a small editing form instead of the full record view.
  • Show hidden files and folders in the Media module: Shows files and folders that TYPO3 normally hides.
  • Enable dynamic "recently used" category in wizards: Puts the elements you use most at the top of the wizards.
  • Recursive copy: Enter the number of page sublevels to include, when a page is copied: How many levels below a copied page are copied with it. 0 copies just the page.
