gmail, outlook, etc.¶
Problem¶
Providers like Google or Microsoft are trying to protect their email servers from spam:
If an e-mail - such as an order confirmation - is sent automatically, this e-mail will only accepted if it is signed.
The so called domain record must have a DMARC policy.
If the domain record of your domain hasn’t this DMARC policy, the delivery of e-mails will failed in cases of a spam protection like above.
Another effects are:
- Caddy can’t process the order proper
- Next order will get the same order and invoice number!
Check your domain!¶
You can check, if your domain has a DMARC policy for example at:
Solution¶
If your domain hasn’t a DMARC policy, please send a message to your provider.
Your provider can add the DMARC policy and can solve the problem.
