Every option you can set while creating or modifying a DCE is described here in detail. Mandatory fields are signed by a red border and exclamation icon. At least these fields have to be filled out.
Important
Always remember to clear the system cache, when you did changes to DCE. Otherwise, they would not apply to backend and frontend!
